BUT, when I went to looking for my first composite stock gun, I went home with a Benelli Super Nova. They had a black version in the rack.A) The number of accessory barrel options you can easily get for it. B) It looks better. That said I'm actually looking to get the new Mossberg 535 ATS Turkey/Waterfowl Combo, it's lighter than the 870 or 500 if you plan to carry it around the field all day, and can handle 3 1/2 inch shells if you wanted to use them.

The 20 gauge nova fits alot better, still a bit chintzy needs a more rigid forearm and needs better guides on the tube so it would feel better. For having two action bars it sure feels like it only has one as far as how much the front ends move around. The barrel on the Mossberg is parkerized while the receiver on the Supernova is encased inside polymer to guard against rust. Both never jam. I give the edge to the Benelli though, the capacity issue is fixed with an extension.
