That oil grade means nothing to me. Guess it would if you had access to the ford oil #'s. The oil in it was real thin stuff, had a red tint to it, looked alot like ATF. The NP205 is a cast iron, gear drive transfer case with a 1:1 high range and a 1.96:1 low range. It is considered by many to be the strongest transfer case ever factory installed in one ton and smaller 4x4's. After installing a trans and transfer pto's replaced transfer lube with 80W90 GL5. Still goes good now after 22 years. my trans takes 90wt oil..... and so does my np205 ..... bough 1 gallon of gear oil from autozone & a nifty hose that goes onto the 1 gallon jug... 1 gallon = $6.50 1 quart = $2.67 so buying the gallons is cheaper even with buying the $4 adapter..
