Seems exploity and really redundant. Gloom gives +3 initiative, dexterity 20 gives +5, and just that means I go first in almost all encounters. You can use the Sentinel Shield for another +3 if desired. Alert is largely wasted therefore. The Dark Urge cloak, and gloom or rogue's bonus action hide, are all that is needed to reset combat.

I know this is a month old but in terms of BG3 anyway, I wouldn't say it's that weak of a case. Ranger 5 for gloom/feat/extra attack, Rogue 4 for uncanny actions/thief/extra bonus action/feat, Fighter 2 for action surge and then Warlock 1 for hex/shield. You won't be using any Warlock spells at all (sadly no eldritch) so won't need high Charisma.
