No one barrel was the same as the last. Each barrels tenon was custom cut to a diameter just shy of press fit for a wobble free fit in the receiver. Lothar-Walther is not far from me. I spoke with them about making barrels for the 455. I sent them measurements, pictures, and even offered my barrel for a pattern. They would do it for a minimum order of 50 barrels. As much as I like the gun, I wish the barrel was a bit longer (18"- 18.5"). I have searched several different websites (CZ's included of course) and can not seem to find CZ "factory barrels" for sale anywhere.

As far as the barrel screws, I torqued them to 5.5 N-m or 48 in-pounds .. Try reducing the action screws to 18 ~ 22 inch pounds. Can't hurt and can always be increased. The manual that came with 455 rifles called for the barrel grub screws to be torqued at 5 n-m which is about 45 inch pounds.
