Thank you! I think most people just choose to read it and watch the videos associated with topics they need clarification on. The 300 pg P/S are just the KA videos taken down in note format. Where do you get the KA doc? (I would use the 100 pg doc, saves a lot of time, is more organized, and had just as much info imo)Tbh I did not like the 300 pg document at all. A lot of psych terms are just fancy words for stuff that is common sense. I felt the 300 pg document was bloated with too much fluff and images that didn’t help. I liked the 86 pg doc because it just got straight to the point. Doing uearth was much more useful than reading an extra 214 pages

It's a good and aesthetically pleasing deck, but best used as a foundation for supplementing your own cards off another resource like UEarth. Otherwise, there are other premade decks based directly on the 300 page doc, like Bouras and Cubene.

If you already have the Kaplan books, I'd use them first. I'd say their breadth and depth of content are about on the dot for what you need to know for the MCAT. Except for the P/S and CARS books—I'd recommend skipping them. Use the 86- or 300-pg KA docs and an ANKI deck of terms for the former section.2. Reply. PlentyElk. • 5 yr. ago. KA in general though is not enough for P/S because the exam is known to have research analysis and lower yield terms popping up. I would suggest getting OpenStax (free and recommended by AAMC) Psychology and Sociology and having those read out loud. It doesn't take too long on 4-7x.I found the 300 page KA document to be way overkill. The 100 page doc is better, IMO. I recently took the MCAT (and dont have a score yet) but felt like i only guessed on 1 question on P/S. Pretty much the 300 page study guide + the other information is extensive, but not fully comprehensive of the other PS terms that might appear on the real ...• Every item in the 300 page Khan Academy Psych/Soc document is included • Every equation, unit, and constant needed for the MCAT is included ... Kaplan is somewhat inefficient and spaced repetition is a better fit for me than deep reading and summary is. I've also validated that the high yield material from Kaplan is covered.Put your responses in a Microsoft Word document. The first time I took the MCAT (last January) I only relied on previous knowledge from my psychology and sociology classes and that got me a 126 on P/S so I'm hoping the KA doc alone can get me to a 128+. I have the Kaplan P/S book and downloaded the KA document. I also have the EK P/S book.

The 300 page one is made by KA for sure but I think the 100 page one might've been an shortened version based on the 300 page doc made by someone else. If you google it, you should be able to find it easily!

Hey guys! I'll be starting my MCAT prep soon and am trying to organize my resources. For P/S, I'm torn between the 300-page doc and using the Kaplan book. I know this has been discussed a lot previously on this subreddit, but any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks a lot!Psych/soc 300 page doc. I know this may seem a stretch, does anyone know a anki deck that was created based off this doc! Thank you!! There's actually quite of few of them. Cubene is a popular one built on the doc. Jacksparrow is a comprehensive deck that includes a modified version of cubene with more mnemonics, pictures, etc.I watched all of the KA videos and had the 300 pg doc open on the other half of my screen to read along with the videos. I found that just reading the doc I wasn't actually absorbing the material, but once I added the videos I retained a lot more info. ... 516 on Kaplan FL 1 after content review.Ohhhh, yes!!! Personally think it is the best resource. I have never taken a single psych-soc in my life (still haven't) and started out studying with Kaplan psych-soc. Found that minimally useful, but once I switched over to the 300 page Khan doc my FL scores for the section skyrocketed.I do it in blocks. Each block is 25 pages. Like pages 1-25 is Block 1. 25-50 is Block 2. Basically once a week i will start a new block of 25 pages, it usually takes me more than an hour since i have to actually understand the material the first time. But once you do a new block, the rest of the 6 days, review each block on a different day in ...

Maybe like a 128+. I got a 132 by only doing the 86pg doc and a condensed ~50ish page doc + Uworld (did all the psych questions within a week or three of the exam) plus hardcore heavy crammed anki just for that section ...I would avoid the Kaplan PS book, from my experience you are better off studying from KA (300pg doc, videos), UWorld (answer explanations are key), and AAMC official material. Best practice for studying is to make your own flashcards instead of using someone else's, though. I read through the kaplan book as well, then I used the 86 page doc (made my own anki off it) and did UWorld for practice questions and I think it went pretty well.Literally all I did was read the 300 page doc and watched the KA videos on YouTube for any harder topics. Then would do that section on Uworld and then anki- Borus deck. And would make new cards on the missed Uworld questions because those were golden with explanations and pictures.

300 pager , 86 pager and add Anki tab I’m doing this right now and it’s pretty nice. Copy and paste section from 86 page to the “extra” tab on Anki and make sure everything make sense (comparing to 300 page). Then copy and paste certain sentences from summary with cloze deletions.
