But my example may not be the best because mine weighs 31oz vs the other 24-26oz Kimbers. The Ultra Ten is my favorite 1911 carry gun right next to my beloved Dan Wesson VBob. With the right loads, the Kimber is nearly as accurate as the Dan Wesson. The Ultra Ten really is an amazing shooter, better than most Kimber Gov't models. The only problem with these Ultra was reliability as sent from the factory.Kimber offers the CDP in five sizes, from the full-sized Custom CDP down to the Ultra CDP, with its 3-inch barrel and short frame. You can have the CDP with rosewood grips, or some of them are available with Crimson Trace Lasergrips. You can even have two of the five CDPs in 9mm if you want, something unheard of back in the day.
