Everything you read is true. The OG is just a touch bright in the upper mids for me, and has me wishing for a touch more bass. The Dusk tames the upper mids and adds more bass. However, it does lose a bit of detail in doing so. Being on an iPhone, i don’t have much in the way of EQ, hence i bought a Dusk.
The 7Hz Timeless are the best Planar IEMs, it is an impressive feat until you look at the frequency response of the other planars. There are some strong positives but also some notable negatives to the Timeless. It is something to add to the collection for its strengths, not something to be the collection. Appreciate the impressions / review. The Kato had me seriously considering the B2 Dusk as my first Moondrop entry but ended up grabbing the Kato for now. Variations has better technicalities. The tuning is more sub bass heavy than the blessing 3 for sure but other than that it's not going to sound that much diffirent.
