When I got the bike it leaked gas into the crankcase (all of it the gas). After rebuild it runs like a badass but still pops at low rpms.

I have this very similar problem on a 99 Vulcan 850 Classic. Starts great, runs down the highway, then cuts out. Few minutes later after switch is turned off/on it will start and run for a few more minutes. I keep thinking fuel/vaccuum problem, but electrical sounds plausible too.
