No dragging a heavy deck out from under a tractor. Once set up to mow, the 1025r is pretty much like driving my GT235. While the 1025r is bigger than the GT235, when you have the loader off it is much lighter and more compact (than if loader was left on). Taking the 3 point hitch off, in my opinion, makes sense for mowing.
It really just comes down to some hydraulic plumbing modifications. Why JD is unwilling to offer this is silly.
