What size supply duct for 3 ton unit.

I'm having a new AC unit and furnace installed, and I have a question about the duct sizes. I had a manual J performed, and they recommended a five ton AC unit. My existing duct is horizontal 12"x27" at the beginning, then it bends upwards and transitions to a 12"x 24". There is ten inch roudn duct shooting off inbetween.
